The story follows a young woman who falls in love with a mischievous fox spirit. She lives in a small home, and despite her playful nature, she has a strong sense of justice. As a result, she falls in love with a man named Ye Hua.

The young woman, Li Chuyue, is a modern-day drama queen. She travels to the ancient world to meet a mysterious man. In this drama, she pretends to be married to the master of the Yunwei Villa, but a fateful moment leads to love and passion. However, it is more challenging than it sounds. The path to becoming a wife takes work. The two are engaged in a love triangle.

While Zhou HuaiAn is an accomplished martial arts prodigy, he is prone to developing emotional attachments, which will eventually cause him to be seriously ill. To prevent such extensions from forming, he disguises himself as a man to gain entry to Qingyun Academy. Zhou Yuan, meanwhile, meets a young marquis who hates weddings and has a poisonous tongue. Another key player in this story is Ding Zhonghao, a charming man with an angel face.

Cai Yi Nong, the producer of My Wife, is a Fox Goddess, says the fox stories came about by accident. When he began creating Strange Tales, he wanted to tell an original fantasy story, so he chose a fox’s point of view.
