The YECLENSP print is one of the many ways to illustrate the words “ye shall not surely die”. The first part of the verse tells us that the serpent told Eve that she would not die if she ate the fruit, so we know that God is not sure that we will live forever. But the underlying message is that the punishment is not certain.
